I'm New

Welcome

Thanks for visiting our website. I hope the information you find here will help introduce you to who we are and what we do at the Raleigh Vineyard. We try, as a church, to help people experience and extend God's life-changing love. We believe in an authentic, relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere for worship. Everyone is welcome and loved as they are. Wherever you are in your journey, we invite you to join us. If you have any questions, contact our church office or any of our leaders; we'll be glad to help.

What to Expect on Sunday Morning

It's not easy visiting a new church for the first time. Sometimes you feel like a stranger in a strange land. Will the people be unfriendly? Will the people be too friendly? Will I be put on the spot? Will it be easy to leave if I don't enjoy it? Will my kids enjoy it? How should I dress? What if I don't believe what they believe?

Here's a brief overview of what to expect.

We want to make your first time here an enjoyable and meaningful experience.  We've worked hard to create a warm welcome for everyone, especially those who have never been to church before.

At the front doors there will be some friendly people (we call them "greeters") to say hello, answer any questions you have, and show you around if you'd like. We believe in making our gatherings comfortable.  Whether that is dressing "business casual" or throwing on that old sweater and jeans, all are welcome to come as they are. Some people arrive early and catch up with each other. Some people get here right on time and some even get here 15 minutes after our 10:00am start. If you see a slightly distracted guy wandering around with glasses and a beard, that's probably Pastor Brian.

We're kid-friendly here. We believe they matter to God and you will find our Sprouts Kids' pastor, Mary Bunch, waiting and welcoming at our Sprouts check-in center.  If you have children, we have groups on Sunday morning for infancy through middle school that your family will love! You can check your younger children into their classroom before the service, while children in 3rd - 5th grades will join you in the sanctuary for musical worship before leaving to their own group.

At the beginning of our service, we enjoy singing songs together that are led by our worship band. Most people sing along to the words projected on the wall, but others sit and reflect. We also do communion together every Sunday in response to the worship and morning message.  The sermon is about 30-40 minutes and will come from one of our pastors, church leaders or special guests.  If you would like to hear some of our past sermons and messages, check out our media section on this site. The service ends with an additional worship song and an opportunity to receive prayer from our prayer team.

You can watch our whole service live or on-demand here on our website before you come and get to know what our service is like.

It can be hard looking for a new church or coming to a church for your first time. We understand and we appreciate you checking us out live and online!
